Photojournalism Interclub Competitions
About The PJ Interclub Competitions

The PSA Photojournalism Interclub competitions offer PSA member clubs the opportunity to have their members compete against other PSA member camera clubs.

Competitions are held 4 times a year.

To sign up for the 2009 - 2010 interclub competitions, email Karen Kotner

What To Enter

The PSA Photojournalism Interclub competitions have  two  categories: (1) General and (2) Human Interest.

To view a full range of examples of "general" and "human interest" photojournalism images found in the 2008 PSA Exhibition, please click here.

How To Enter

Each club can submit up to 6 images comprised of  any combination of General and Human Interest. To enter, please click here.

The entering club does not need to name the files: The web entry process does that automatically into a format which works with Nick Muskovac's "Club Viewer".

Judging
And Awards

It is up to the judges to decide based on their interpretation if the image falls into the General or Human Interest category.

The judges then decide how many awards are appropriate depending on the number of images in each category.

There can be a maximum of a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category and a maximum of three HMs in each category.  If there are not enough images in either category (no special guidelines) to warrant that many places , then the judges  decide.

Judging Clubs

Participating camera clubs are invited to be the host club for the competitions. If you camera club would like to be a host club, please click here to email Karen Kotner.

Although host clubs may use the system of their choice for judging, the entry system is designed to support data input for Nick Muskovac's "Club Viewer"
